maple rum popovers

May 05, 2017 in all-year, breakfast

pear cardamom cake w/ cinnamon crumble

January 09, 2017 in cake, fruit, winter

I made 20 Galettes des Rois last weekend and forgot to put a bean in 16 of them. I went down to the cellar, but had no idea what I was looking for. I returned a bunch of empty bottles, and then forgot to ask for my refund at the register. I went to bed, and upon waking found that I'd forgotten to take out my contacts.

BAKING STORIES

from 2015 to 2018, I maintained a personal food blog entitled les filles de madeleine. it was named for my grandmother, mother and aunts, who not only taught me how to bake, but also instilled in me a deep sense of comfort and nostalgia, especially when it comes to food. I used the blog to share their stories and mine.
